The SIMATIC Teleservice adapter connects directly to CPU port on the PLC using the MPI protocol, and interface to the PC standard RS232C port through modems.The driver supports incoming- and outgoing dialled-up connections with standard IGSS32 dial-up features like reading id of calling node, performing call-back, reading historical data stored in the node and signalling end of operation when IGSS has scanned the calling node.The IGSS32 system polls the PLC equipment cyclically according to one of four user-defined intervals.
